Sir Alex Ferguson’s men suffered their second consecutive defeat in their last league game. With a must win game for the red devils at home against an out of sorts Bolton side, especially with their top player Gary Cahill with his mind on a move to Chelsea, this should be a home win.

Barcelona will win this comfortably. They need to catch Real Madrid who are currently 5 points behind Real Madrid in La Liga. Messi is back in the side after being rested in the Spanish cup game midweek.

I was happy to hear that people are taking this blog so seriously. I set it up as a bit of fun and I find it rather amusing that people are slating it so much. I feel I should reply to a few of the criticisms.
1. The blog isn't a paid service, and as stated it was set-up as a bit of fun to see if I could provide winning bets (which I am doing) on Basketball, Golf and Football. I don't tell people how much money to put on any particular bet and I don't think it's fair to do so.
2. It's a new blog. Obviously, if you are just starting out with something you need to be given a chance.
I don't appreciate the comments left by Cassini and Fulltimebettingblog. I totally understand they can write whatever they want on their blogs, but I'd appreciate it if they let mine be and didn't criticise the games I suggest. Maybe I sense a pang of jealousy.
3. I haven't posted any historical results, because it's only been going properly since January this year.

Basketball and Football Tips for 03.01.2012
After yesterdays losses, we have 3 more NBA games for you this evening and a football match. Hopefully these will all be a success! Selection 2 provides the value of the evening.

Atlanta are on good form at the moment and are playing at home. Not a great deal of value in this one, but worth a shot. WIN
2. NBA - Oklahoma City Thunder to beat Portland Trailblazers@ odds of 1.51. LOSS
This is a value trade. Oklahoma are a young and hungry team with some of the best players in the league.

Lakers have Bynum back in the starting line up. He scored 30 points + in the last game. Derek Fisher, Pau Gasol and Kobe Bryant should provide the additional firepower needed to beat the Rockets at home.
4. Football - Man City V Liverpool - Lay Liverpool @ odds of 4.5 WIN
Man City are at home, have failed to score in 2 games. Mancini will likely start with Aguero and Silva who will provide the goals. Liverpool will be a slight threat from the always dangerous Suarez and the return of Bellamy.
